Let’s be honest how many times have you said “I wish I had more time to…exercise or time to spend with my family or work on that project I’ve been meaning to get to. We all been guilty of procrastinating but now is the perfect time than any to take advantage of this time, especially now that we all been ordered to stay home. To get motivated and not overwhelmed, set aside 10 to 15 minutes to make a list of projects, goals, or just any things you like to work on, whatever that may be. Once your list is made, determine which task you would like to tackle first. Sometimes people like to tackle the hardest one first just to get it out of the way but that is up to you. I like to do the one I enjoy the most because then it motivates me to go on to the next task. Writing a list will also help you stay focus and give you direction for the next task to tackle.

Since being ordered to stay home, I have finished my office/ craft room, cooked and baked new recipes, read books I’ve been trying to get to for years, decluttered my kitchen, have spent more time with my kids (playing board games and cards), focused on my website and youtube channel. As you can tell, I have really taken advantage of this time we have been given. Actually, being ordered to stay home has really helped me with my anxiety in a weird sort of way. Not that I don’t’ worry about what’s going on in the world, but I am able to put my focus on projects and keep my mind occupied at home with my to-do list. I am using this time in a positive way instead of looking at it in a negative way. I believe it’s all about the mindset.

I know a lot of people are using this time to catch up on shows and movies that have been wanting to see and there is nothing wrong with that, just don’t let that be all that you do with this time you are given to stay home.
